The Constituency

After a long wait, the new Central Devon Constituency has been officially ratified by the Privy Council.

At the next General Election the new seat will be sending an MP to Westminster - we are here to make sure that it is Mel Stride, the Conservative PPC.

The Area

The new area is vast, covering around 700 sq. miles, from Buckfastleigh in the South, to beyond Okehampton in the West, to Bradninch in the East and up as far as Chawleigh in the North.

Central Devon Conservatives

Conservatives in Central Devon pride themselves in being at the heart of the local community. For example, they organise annual events which include fundraising for local charities.

Central Devon Conservatives strongly believe that people are better represented once they have actually been asked for their views. Regular surveying is therefore carried out across the entire constituency in order to establish the most pressing concerns for constituents.

By working with local people, Conservatives keep a very close eye on the provision of services like health and policing. Where services fall below public expectation, they actively campaign to highlight the issue and frequently get problems resolved either for individuals or the community as a whole.
